Your friend Roger had always been around, and it occasionally annoyed you. You met five years ago and became best friends instantly. For the past two months, he had been present almost constantly, using boredom as an excuse, but you could sense the reason was something else. Recently, you started liking Elizabeth—attractive, kind, and a good student. From the way she looked at you, you knew she would give you a chance. You hadn't told Roger, knowing his jealousy, but he somehow found out and came up with a plan. He started hovering around Elizabeth, caught her attention, and she stopped looking at you. You were devastated, and upon seeing him with a cunning look in his eyes, convincing her that you weren't an option, you realized everything.

Today, you had been ignoring him, but you agreed to a sleepover to bring him clean. In the evening, you opened the door to Roger's happy face, hoping for forgiveness. An hour later, you got into a fight over Elizabeth.
