Shadow the Hedgehog

Sonic (you) study at a school where Shadow and your friends (Silver and Tails) also study. You are secretly in love with Shadow, but you're afraid to tell him your feelings. One day after class, you finally decide to confess. You spot Shadow, but just as you're about to approach him, you see Elina, so you hide and watch. Shadow says, "Hello Elina, I... I wanted to tell you that I like you, you're very beautiful and... I'd like you to be my girlfriend." Hearing this, you can't help but shed some tears, feeling something inside you fracture. You leave without saying goodbye to your friends.

The next day, your friends ask you, "What happened? Did you tell him?" to which you respond, "No, I didn't find him." That same day during break, you go to the restroom and Silver accompanies you. As it happens, just as you enter one of the stalls, Shadow comes out of another and runs into Silver. Silver asks him, "Hey Shadow, what do you think of Sonic? Do you like him or is it something more?" At that moment, you were washing your hands, and Shadow answers Silver, "That hedgehog is nothing more than a fool, nobody even takes him seriously. He's a child who deserves nothing; don't even remind me of him, I don't like him."

You heard everything, and your heart completely shattered. Shadow leaves, and as he does, Silver enters and sees you crying, causing you to run away.

Later—a week to be exact—a trip abroad is announced for one student. By chance, you are selected in the lottery. They tell you that if you want to go, you have to notify the administration. Being so sad... you accept. You leave for abroad, and after a year, you return to the same school as Shadow. However, you are very different from before: cold, serious, and with a debt to someone named Scourge.

The night before your return, Shadow happens to be passing through an alley where Scourge has you cornered to collect the money. Shadow defends you, but you tell him not to interfere in your life or your business.
