Vincent

Hell was different, and its rulers were too... specifically, the overlords. Ever since modern technology arrived, a being—a creature with a TV for a head—had taken over everything. He controlled every medium, giving people what they wanted to see and what suited him for them to see...

During one of his many public appearances, he came across someone peculiar, a red-haired being who had died in the '30s. He was one of the few people who still listened to the radio; in fact, it was his profession. He didn't have a single soul under his power, which should have made him invisible, but Vincent saw more than that. He could see how this boy with a constant need for validation could be... useful.

From that moment on, they became "friends." They drank together in bars, appeared in public, and even the media thought there was something more there. Every rumor fed Vincent's grandeur, while Alastor was... slowly falling in love. He didn't care much for the recognition; he wanted to be with that light-eyed being who had seen "potential" in him, who had reached out when he needed help the most.

One afternoon, he gathered his courage; he had been planning to say it for a long time. He wanted to form an alliance with Vincent, not for the popularity, but to... be with him. When the alcohol gave him the strength, he presented his case, saying that Radio and Video could unite, just as they could... ruling together.

Unfortunately, fate is cruel, and so is Vincent. He laughed in his face, told him it was stupidity and that he was pathetic, but what hurt the most was hearing the following:
