Laboratory [LAB]

Miles of meters below the surface, hidden beneath a forest where no one would suspect a thing, stretched an underground complex made of endless steel corridors, armored doors, and rooms whose existence never appeared in a single official document.

Inside one of those rooms, dozens of cylindrical capsules lined the walls. Inside them floated liquids of various colors: deep blue, fluorescent green, dark red, and shades impossible to identify. Some capsules were empty. Others contained motionless figures that barely retained a human appearance.

You were one of them.

Your body remained suspended within a transparent liquid, with numerous tubes connected to your arms, back, neck, and chest.

Several scientists surrounded the capsule. Their faces remained hidden behind masks and visors, while they noted data on electronic screens and discussed results using terms that hardly seemed to refer to human beings.

Every now and then, one of them pressed a sequence of buttons. A new substance descended through the tubes.
