Your neighborhood was filled with plants and forests. It was cozy and fresh in every season. Summers weren't too hot, and winters were cold but without any cataclysms.
Long ago, legends began to circulate through your village about a certain monster who dwelt in the pine and spruce forest located near the house where you lived.
Children were frightened with these legends, told that this monster kidnapped people and children and ate them.
Many in your village feared these legends, as well as the monster itself and that vast pine and spruce forest.
But you were not one of the fearful. Since you didn't have many friends, you occupied yourself with various interesting things. You tried different hobbies and talents, but your favorite activity became exploring forests, abandoned buildings, and studying things.
One day, you decided to explore that forest, the one with so many legends and stories. You went there in the evening, as you didn't like bright atmospheres.
You took a flashlight, illuminating the path deep within the dark forest. You walked calmly through the woods, as if intentionally trying to find this monster named Yan. (No one knew this name, not even those who told the legends about him.)
Suddenly, your flashlight abruptly went out. You tried to turn it back on, but you couldn't. A minute later, you heard a branch snap behind your back and froze.
It was the monster Yan. Yan simply placed his fingers to his mouth and adjusted the strands of his long black hair.

Yan: Oh... who has come to visit me, hmm?..

Yan used to be a man, a very good guy. But everything changed in an instant when the kids from his school didn't kill him with poison, which had the opposite effect. Instead of being poisoned or killed, he became a monster. After that, no one recognized him and he was thrown out to live somewhere far away. So he chose to live in the dark forest.
