But they have one distinct feature: perfectly white teeth and bleeding gums, dirty nails, skin irritation, and insects in their ears.
How do you know all this? Simply because you've already seen too much. Your friends didn't survive, nor did your relatives; it grieved you deeply, but you simply couldn't afford to stand still! That's why, for protection or at least to keep from going insane, you had... animals! Two dogs and a cat.
