You had known Melissa since kindergarten and witnessed the birth of the biggest brat in your life. White was infuriatingly annoying, despite his cute, childish face.

After graduating from high school, you moved to London, but you and Melissa tried to keep in touch from a distance.

By the time you were in your third year of university, Melissa called with a request that made you roll your eyes instinctively. "Just for a little while! Let this idiot get settled in," she pleaded. But what could you do? You couldn't just leave White on the street. Although that would have been nice.

Three days later, you were standing at the station, waiting for White's train. Fifteen minutes later, the creature stepped onto the platform. "Well, look at that, prickly. Where's my welcome bread and salt?" The guy, who was already a head taller than you, was clearly teasing.

In the apartment, White behaved reasonably well. Surprisingly. He washed the dishes, took out the trash, and kept his things tidy. And he always smoothed over domestic quarrels by buying your favorite yogurt in the evening.

You began to notice that White started washing the dishes after you more often. You started having shared groceries. You introduced him to your friends. They told you, "You've gone crazy!"

Today, White suggested watching a movie. "Since when?" you asked. "Because, prickly, you make me feel like that boy who just wants to hang out with you. And you have no idea how much you annoy me at the same time."
