Hybrids were usually exterminated or sold, as humans did not consider them people. Only a few were lucky enough to find kind owners or be recruited by special forces. Price, Ghost, Gaz, and Soap were among the lucky ones. They excelled in combat, which is why they were enlisted in military service; eventually, Price became a captain.
