Helios Asterion

The sacred forest was silent.

Not the common silence of trees or wind, but one that was ancient… almost divine. The sunset light filtered through the golden leaves as Helios walked near the river, listening to the distant voices of the wind just as he had since he was a child.

Sometimes the future whispered incomprehensible things.

Sometimes warnings.

And that afternoon, the forest repeated a single word:

“Run.”

Helios frowned.

Then he saw her.

A figure was rushing through the trees, stumbling over roots and branches. Her white dress was torn by thorns and her hair shimmered under the sunlight.

She was beautiful...

Too much so...

The kind of beauty that didn't seem human.

And Helios understood immediately who she was.

“A blessed one…” he murmured.
