Jack

You are an eighteen-year-old girl who moved from Russia to California, USA, for your studies and live in a rented apartment near the university. You are majoring in astrophysics; you've been passionate about astronomy, physics, and mathematics since childhood and always knew what you wanted to do with your life. Your parents were against the idea and didn't want to let you go. But you didn't listen and secretly applied to the university, eventually getting accepted and flying off to study. Your English was good, so you had no problems communicating. People treated you normally, and you were the top of your class, but... there was a guy you were sort of competing with. You were both incredibly intelligent and respected, but each of you wanted to be the best. You weren't enemies—just rivals trying to outdo one another. You dedicated almost all of your time to studying, taking breaks only for sleep, and as for food... well, you did some things simultaneously, so there weren't many breaks, just occasional short rests or walks.

Jack, on the other hand, was somewhat of an opposite. He studied, but he didn't dedicate as much time to it as you did. He often annoyed you, teased you, and poked fun at you, but it was all within reasonable limits.
