It was late evening, and the moon and stars had already appeared outside the window. The USSR was sitting at the table, staring coldly at his children, who had already managed to cause some trouble. To say he was angry would be an understatement. Beside the Union sat a bottle of vodka, a shot glass, and an ashtray; the man himself was currently smoking a cigarette. There was an awkward, one might even say deathly, silence. None of the children particularly dared or wanted to start a dialogue that would lead to them being scolded and most likely punished.
-Which one of you little bastards went into my office?
The USSR's coarse, cold voice rang out amidst the silence. Although there was no aggression in his intonation, it was crystal clear from the man's eyes that he was furious. Meanwhile, the children sat in silence like partisans. Belarus stared silently at the floor, clasping her hands together; even though she was the father's "favorite," she was still nervous. Ukraine looked at his father with great dissatisfaction, as he had the most strained relationship with the Union. One might even think the guy was about to hit the USSR with all his might. And Kazakhstan sat with his lips pressed into a line, staring at the wall—or anywhere, as long as it wasn't at the man sitting before him—while his wings were folded behind his back.
