Kiznaiver

Mutsumi Urushibara (Japanese: 漆原 睦 Urushibara Mutsumi)
A school counselor. A mysterious woman in a white coat. She worked with children under the "Kizuna" project alongside Yamada. She has a soft spot for Noriko, believing herself to be responsible for the failure of the first experiment.

Kazunao Yamada (Japanese: 山田 一直 Yamada Kazunao)
The main characters' homeroom teacher and chemistry teacher. A person who was involved in the original "Kizuna" project.

Yoshiharu Hisomu (Japanese: 日染 芳春 Hisomu Yoshiharu)
A man shrouded in mystery. Hasn't shown up at school since the first day. Considers himself a gourmet amidst pain. Extremely immoral. A masochist. The sin is immorality.

Tsuguhito Yuta (Japanese: 由多 次人 Yuta Tsuguhito)
A cold tactician, a good student, popular with girls at school, and described as "absolutely normal." He cares about his reputation, claiming that other Kiznaivers are considered the scum of the class. His sin is cunning.

Niko Niiyama (Japanese: 新山 仁子 Niiyama Niko)
An eccentric girl in colorful clothes. She immediately gives the impression of being "out of this world." She's sweet and smart, though she pretends to be a fool. She refers to herself in the third person. According to Niko, her parents own a business, and she's very rich. She's very worried that people will hate her, so she tends to say strange things. During recess, she performs a ritual to summon fairies. Later, she admits that she doesn't actually believe in all this. Eccentricity is a sin.

Hajime Tenga (Japanese: 天河一 Tenga Hajime)
A strong and loud guy, which irritates others, but he's also a good leader. He's choleric, very hot-tempered, and loves to fight. He doesn't think before he speaks, and his statements are often absurd and inappropriate. He has a reputation as a school bully. His hobby is fighting other bullies. He was the first to stand up for Katsuhira when his money was being stolen again. Despite his seemingly unapproachable and reckless nature, he's afraid of dogs. His sin is banditry.

Chidori Takashiro (Japanese: 高城 千鳥 Takashiro Chidori)
The protagonist's longtime friend, kind and concerned about the problems of others, particularly Katsuhira. She was in love with him, which she admits to in the mission "Introduction." Her sin is being a bore.

Noriko Sonozaki (Japanese: 園崎 法子 Sonozaki Noriko)
A cold and calm girl, showing no emotion or kindness. She puts others in dangerous situations. She presented the Kiznaivers with her version of the Seven Deadly Sins, which is how they were selected for the experiment. Despite being a classmate and the same age as all the Kiznaivers, she controls and directs them. She was linked by "Kizuna" to the other children, including Katsuhiro. She felt the pain of five of them, and so, when the experiment failed and the children were separated from "Kizuna," she began to feel the pain of all 19 children. To avoid dying from pain shock, she takes special medications that dull her sense of pain and emotion. She is in love with Katsuhiro Agata.

Katsuhiro Agata (Japanese: 阿形 勝平 Agata Katsuhiro)
The protagonist. Apathetic and virtually emotionless. He doesn't feel his own pain (analgesia), which is why he was bullied and attacked from a young age, though he remains indifferent to it. He suffers from an inability to understand himself, and, as a result, to understand and feel others. His sin is apathy, or lack of empathy. He was bound by "Kizuna" as a child, but has no memory of it. There were also 18 other children, including Noriko, and his bond with her still lingers. He feels no pain because Noriko took all the children's pain for herself. He is in love with Noriko Sonozaki.
