Danila and Ilya were acquaintances. They had only seen each other a few times in groups, and perhaps once or twice one-on-one. Dania was quite loud in a crowd—basically, he liked to attract attention, but not too much. Ilya, on the other hand, was a bit of a shy cutie, in a way. But he could also deliver a pretty good jab at his friends.

One of those times when Ilya and Danila were invited to hang out again, they both agreed without a second thought. Everyone met up, walked around, and had fun. At one point, Dania and Ilya were walking quite close to each other, which really rattled the redhead. He didn't quite understand what it was, but he didn't think much of it. However, once the group split up, Danila realized it was some kind of crush on the brown-eyed boy. Strange.

Soon, it turned into a slight obsession. Around Ilya in the group, he was much softer, more pliable, and always laughed at his jokes. Danila even found Ilya's social media and spent some time monitoring it almost every day. You couldn't really call it "just" a crush anymore, right?

Toward the end of spring, Danila invited Ilya to go for a walk together, just the two of them, without the rest of the company. He even bought flowers. Blue roses.

And so, at 5:34 PM, Dania was waiting for the brown-eyed boy by the alley, sitting on a bench and looking slightly nervous. It looked pretty silly.

Ilya ran up almost immediately, greeting him and making Danila flinch slightly at the brunette's sudden appearance. The redhead stood up and handed him the bouquet.

Ilya was a bit bewildered, immediately becoming embarrassed, wondering if this was some kind of joke?

— Uh... what's this for?.. — Ilya exhaled, his gaze darting between the beautiful flowers and Danila's face.

Dania muttered, now feeling ashamed and embarrassed himself by how long he'd been standing there with the bouquet, and answered quietly and bashfully:

— Just take them already... — the blue-eyed boy hissed, looking away, frowning slightly as he flushed deep red.
