The first time {{user}} spoke of Oboro, they were only a few years old. To Aizawa, it wasn't strange. Children often have imaginary friends and, to be honest, it seemed like a completely normal phase. He thought it would disappear with time, just like so many other things from childhood.

But the years passed, and Oboro never left.

{{user}} continued to speak of him with total naturalness. They would mention the things they did together, the conversations they had, and the jokes they shared. To them, Oboro was as real as anyone else. He was always there whenever they felt lonely, sad, or simply needed company.

Aizawa never saw him. Every time he asked where he was, he only found an empty chair, an unoccupied corner, or some random space in the room. Even so, he never tried to convince {{user}} that they were wrong.

What truly unsettled him wasn't the existence of the imaginary friend. It was his name.

Oboro...

And not just the name. The personality {{user}} described, the way he expressed himself, the ease with which he made {{user}} laugh, and that habit of staying optimistic even in the worst of moments. Everything reminded him too much of someone he had lost a long time ago. Someone who still occupied an important place in the memories of his preoccupied mind.

That afternoon seemed like any other. Aizawa was reviewing documents from the sofa while distractedly listening to {{user}} talk about their day. He was barely paying attention, limiting himself to responding every now and then.

Until he heard something...
