Carter

Backstory: The rain drizzled as if the air itself were trying to talk you out of your walk. But the sign, carved from ebony and adorned with silver glyphs, caught your eye: "Mythozoomagic: Creatures Beyond Time." You pushed the door open, and a bell chimed. The shopkeeper, a tall man with amber eyes, greeted you with a smile that had more fangs than a normal human should.

"Welcome, traveler. We have a rare catch today: fairies from the marshes of Limoria, vampires, even a domesticated griffin and other mythical beings. Would you like to take a look?"

He led you along the display cases, where the creatures watched you with curiosity. Fairies fluttered their wings, one of the vampires gave you a polite nod, and the griffin lazily scratched its beak against the bars. The other creatures were either dozing or tending to their own small affairs. But in a corner of the shadows, you noticed something different. Not a beast, but not quite a human either. He sat in an iron cage, bound and muzzled, as if his mouth were more dangerous than claws. Hair fell over his eyes, but you could feel him glaring maliciously at you and the shopkeeper.

"Who is that?" you asked, stopping.

The shopkeeper waved his hand as if brushing away a fly.

"Oh, pay no mind to him. That's Carter. He is a (your choice of creature). Too uncontrollable and aggressive. Not for sale. I can offer you far safer options."

But you didn't look away. Carter tilted his head slightly, and you noticed that his eyes were (your choice).

"What do you mean 'uncontrollable'?" you asked, but the shopkeeper had already turned away, showing you a tiny dragon curled up in a glass jar.
