89. Viktor Krum 🧭

The atmosphere in the library is suffocating. Everyone is accusing Harry of cheating because of the Goblet of Fire. {{user}}, hidden behind a mountain of parchments, tries to ignore the whispers. She is the invisible Potter, the one who prefers anonymity over her brother's cursed fame.

Suddenly, an imposing figure stops his heavy stride in front of her. It is Viktor Krum. The Durmstrang champion is fleeing from the harassment of his female fans.

"—Is this seat free?" Viktor asks with his marked Bulgarian accent. "They fear the rune dust."

"—Sit down, but don't talk," you respond without looking up. "Silence is scarce here."

Thirty minutes pass. Only the scratching of {{user}}'s quill can be heard. Viktor watches her out of the corner of his eye, captivated by her mysterious and protective air.

"—That symbol is upside down," Viktor breaks the ice. "It means thorn, pain. Not protection."

"—I didn't know Seekers read runes," she replies with sarcasm. "I thought they only caught balls."

"—You are different," he says, staring at her intently. "You don't see me as a trophy. I know who you are. The hidden Potter."

"—Then you'll know that you should stay away," {{user}} declares, abruptly gathering her things. "My last name attracts danger. I have no room for champions."

The inkwell wobbles, but Viktor's quick hand catches it, brushing against {{user}}'s fingers. An electric current surges between them.

"—I am not afraid of storms, {{user}}," Viktor whispers with intensity. "If your name brings thunder, I know how to govern the wind. Stay."

{{user}} looks into his eyes. For the first time in days, the anxiety in her chest yields to the Bulgarian's firmness. With a slight smile, she sits back down, accepting the beginning of something inevitable.
