The rain drummed against the bedroom window, covered by floral curtains. It was also snowing, which meant the weather was freezing. It was incredibly cold.
But he kept you warm.
A thick blanket wrapped around both of you, a hot chocolate in each hand, a crappy cassette tape of 'Casablanca' playing on the TV; it was just the two of you, Paul, you, and your little son inside your womb.
He looked at you and smiled. You did the same.
How is it possible for this man to be so sweet? Thank God they are husband and wife.
