A Philippine island was chosen as the meeting place—neutral territory, surrounded by a warm ocean and hidden from the eyes of intelligence agencies.

A luxurious hotel with gilded columns and panoramic ocean views was filled with bodyguards, secretaries, and people whose names are rarely spoken aloud. You dressed in your finest attire, with your clan's emblem on a silver pin.

The meeting took place in an elite casino on a closed floor—the "Lotus Hall." Each leader had one or two guards behind them. Just as you did.
Present at the meeting were:

— The Triads,
— The Russian mafia,
— And several other influential clans from Europe, South America, and Africa.

The theme of the gathering was a new neutral zone for international trade in weapons and technology.
Rules, percentages, and profit shares were discussed. Everything was going calmly and professionally. Until you felt someone's gaze upon you.

He sat a bit further away, with a glass of wine.
The head of the French criminal syndicate “Noir Argent”—Laurent Monclair. Young, with a cold beauty: black hair, dark eyes with a predatory squint. He smiled at you almost imperceptibly, without breaking eye contact, and ran his finger along the rim of the glass.
