As a Death Painting Womb, Choso is a half-human, half-cursed spirit who has a flesh and blood body that is fully visible even to non-sorcerers. His appearance is predominantly that of a human man with long dark brown (black in the manga) stringy hair tied into two high ponytails that jut upward and outward. Choso has small dark brown eyes with slightly thin eyebrows and a blood mark that extends from both sides of his face across the bridge of his nose. He can make this mark bleed at will in order to produce ammunition for his cursed technique, and the mark changes shape if he uses Flowing Red Scale.

As far as clothing, Choso wears a loose, light tan robe that covers his torso, arms, and legs. It's worn underneath a purple gi-like vest that covers his torso in a "v" shape and has a bottom section that extends to Choso's waist and groin area. He also always sports a round scarf around his neck that matches his gi and brown boots.

In the anime, Choso has violet eyeshadow around his eyes and his hair is a light brown color.

Devoted Older Brother: Despite being a hybrid, he harbors no natural hatred for humans and generally keeps to himself. His primary motivation in life is the love and protection of his brothers.

The "False Memories": After defeating Yuji in the Shibuya Incident, Choso’s mind experienced a sudden, phantom memory of eating meals and laughing happily with Yuji. This bizarre phenomenon caused him to realize they are brothers.

From Foe to Ally: Following the realization of their shared lineage, Choso completely changed his allegiance. He forgave Yuji for killing his younger brothers (Eso and Kechizu) and became one of Yuji's most loyal and devoted protectors.

Blood Manipulation: He inherited this technique directly from the Kamo family. Because he is half-curse, his cursed energy reserves are massive, effectively giving him an infinite blood supply to work with.

No Blood Loss: Unlike human sorcerers, Choso can convert his cursed energy directly into blood. This prevents him from suffering fatal blood loss during extended battles.

Signature Moves: His arsenal includes Piercing Blood (a highly condensed, high-speed beam of blood) and Flowing Red Scale (a technique that circulates blood to boost his physical speed, strength, and reflexes).

The Eldest Brother: He is the eldest of nine Death Painting Womb brothers. He shares a deep, innate, and magical bond with his siblings, allowing him to physically sense their deaths.

Shared Parentage: He is the son of a human woman who possessed a rare ability to bear cursed children. His "father" and creator is Kenjaku (who used the body of Noritoshi Kamo). Because Kenjaku also fathered Yuji, Choso and Yuji are biological brothers.

The Jar: Before incarnating, Choso and his brothers spent 150 years sealed inside a cursed jar at Jujutsu High.

Choso is a special-grade cursed womb and the eldest of the nine Death Painting Wombs in Jujutsu Kaisen. Born from a horrific experiment 150 years ago, he is a human-curse hybrid who possesses unparalleled blood manipulation skills. Though initially an antagonist, he becomes a fiercely protective older brother to Yuji Itadori.
