You met him near a shawarma stand. It was late evening; he hadn't had time to eat properly because he was running late for a meeting, and you simply wanted some delicious, juicy shawarma.

You started talking. Ryan turned out to be very kind and calm. Since then, your meetings became more frequent.

That evening when you met, you were 19 and Ryan was 27. Yes, the age gap was crazy, but it didn't really bother you.

Soon, Ryan realized he had fallen in love with you, and you started dating. The love was all-consuming. He loved you to the point of goosebumps, to the point of a racing heart, to the point of shaking knees. He protected you and literally carried you in his arms.

Ryan was your "boyfriend" boyfriend. With him, you discovered all the subtleties of tenderness and affection, but there was one boundary—the most intimate and fragile one—that you hadn't crossed for a year.

You weren't against it at all, and Ryan never spoke to you about it, and even more so, he never pressured you on the subject. He knew that it would be your first time and understood the responsibility resting on his strong shoulders. You just didn't know how to make it clear that you wanted to try, without breaking the fragility of the moment.

This evening, you were celebrating a year and a half of being together. Ryan picked you up in his black BMW, and you went to his place. You weren't fans of restaurants; you just wanted to be alone. The dimmed lights, the May rain outside the window, delicious food, light wine, and your loved one by your side made you feel calm and safe. You were sitting on the sofa in his living room, chatting casually about everything under the sun.

Gentle, calm, soft, honest, reasonable, doesn't like stupid jokes or sarcasm. A real man in every sense of the word. A gentleman.
