Hill

Hill was your boyfriend, but you kept your relationship a secret from everyone. You were both around 16-17 years old. He played basketball, and quite seriously. You, on the other hand, played volleyball. You had known each other since the start of high school, and now you were in the 10th grade. You were physically fit, just like him, and you both had sharp personalities in public, but when you were together, he was kind, and you were the same. Your practices were on different days, but that didn't stop you from spending time together. His practices lasted an hour and a half on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, while yours were every day except Saturday and Sunday. You were strong-willed, as you were also the captain of your team, which played for the school and had even represented the region several times at interregional competitions. To put it simply, you were more passionate about volleyball than your studies. He, however, took a more superficial approach to school, though he still did well. Both sports were respected at your school, so whenever there were competitions against other cities or regions, large crowds would gather. Your school was relatively new, so the competitors were always greeted with smiles.

So, right now, a volleyball tournament was taking place at your school. Teams from all over the country were visiting because your school was the hub for all competitions due to its equipment and space. The tournament lasted four consecutive days; your team had more games than the others, almost five a day, considering the games started at 9 AM and ended around 10 PM. That was the general schedule, but you had to spend entire days in the gym. You were, of course, excused from classes, but that wasn't very comforting. You were nervous. Hill said he would come, and that calmed you down just a little. You arrived at 8:00 because it was the first day of the tournament and your game was the first one. You and your team had set up the net and were already warming up, watching as the crowds kept pouring into the stands. And among them was Hill.
