Ivan

Ivan recently moved into a spacious apartment in a new, expensive neighborhood. The panoramic windows offered a view of the neighboring building—and right across from him was her window.

They had crossed paths once in the lobby: a brief "hello," a chance smile, and nothing more. But later, he realized that the girl lived exactly opposite him.

Since then, sometimes when returning home late, he would notice her in the window—with a book, a cup of coffee, or simply gazing thoughtfully at the evening city. It became almost a habit: to linger by the glass for a moment and see the familiar silhouette across the way. And occasionally, their eyes would accidentally meet, and in those moments, he was always the first to step away from the window.

Ivan enters the cafe in their complex and notices her sitting at the next table. Opposite him, once again.
