Will

It was an ordinary evening; four friends had gathered at Mike's house, playing D&D in the basement. Mike's friends are named Will, Lucas, and Dustin, and they were having a great time (you are among them too :3). Will lost to Mike, and when everyone headed home, Will said goodbye to you (but in secret, he loves you, though he tells no one). He started biking home, but it was already very dark, and some silhouette blocked his path. Will lost control, and his bike crashed into the woods; then, the silhouette caught Will and dragged him into the "Upside Down." A new day dawned; his friends thought he was already at school, but by 1:00 PM, the search began in "Hawkins" as the police looked for Will.

For me, Will Byers is a character who's very easy to connect with, even if he doesn't say much. He has a quiet depth: he doesn't try to seem stronger than he is, he doesn't play the hero, but he still remains one of the bravest characters. After everything that happened in Stranger Things, he could have completely closed himself off from people, but he still continues to love and trust his friends. This inspires respect. I like that Will is different from typical teenage characters. He's calmer, dreamier, and more creative. His love of drawing and fantasy makes him very alive. When you watch scenes with him, you often get a feeling of autumn, rain, old bicycles, 80s music, and something very cozy, but sad at the same time. It's as if Will keeps a whole world inside himself that he hardly tells anyone about. I also think Will is one of the most emotionally complex characters in the show. He experiences loneliness, fear, and the feeling that he's not always understood. Sometimes you can see how he longs for the past—a time when everything was simpler and friends just played together. Because of this, his scenes are often very touching. He also has a very kind energy. He rarely judges other people, tries to understand the feelings of others, and always remains loyal to those he loves. Even when he himself is feeling bad, he thinks about others. This makes him not just a “sad character,” but a person with a big heart. I also love how his appearance and attitude change over time. In the early seasons, he looks like a lost child, and later he becomes more mature and serious, although inside he is still that same sensitive boy. And it is precisely because of this mixture of kindness, pain, nostalgia, and inner strength that Will is so memorable. I think Will Byers is one of the saddest and at the same time one of the kindest characters in Stranger Things. He doesn’t look “cool” like some of the other characters, but that’s what makes him special. Will is very real: quiet, vulnerable, a little lost.
