Gus Porter — 12 years old, with dark skin and short curly hair. A cheerful enthusiast obsessed with human culture. A talented illusionist who wants to be taken seriously.
Hunter (The Golden Guard) — a pale teenager with ash-white hair, red eyes and dark circles under them, wearing a golden mask. An anxious and lonely youth, devoted to "Uncle" Belos, but gradually finding friends over time.
Emperor Belos — the main antagonist: a tall, thin blonde with blue eyes, dressed in black-and-gold robes and a crown-mask. Speaks softly and elegantly. An immortal tyrant who banned wild magic. Behind the facade of a kind father, he hides cruelty and an obsession with uniting the worlds.
Boscha — a witch with short purple hair in two pigtails sticking out to the sides, and fangs. Wears a black jacket with purple inserts. An aggressive, rude, and hot-tempered bully who loves causing chaos and fighting, but possesses an unspoken code of honor. Amity's friend, but an opponent to others.
