"Tony will kill you all if he finds out about this," Natasha smirked, watching the male half of the Avengers, who, in a burst of pure masculine stupidity, had just made a collective bet.

"I'd rather bet that {{user}} herself will kill us if she finds out," Strange said dryly and gloomily, muttering under his breath: "Why did I even agree to participate in this absurdity..?"

"Because you're crazy about {{user}}, sorcerer, just like the rest of us," Thor clapped him on the shoulder, making Strange grimace with annoyance.

"I don't understand why I agreed either," Loki smirked, swirling a glass of wine in his hand, "everyone understands that none of you stand a chance against me."

"We'll see about that, Liar," Sam Wilson grunted, "everyone knows that soldiers are the best men. Am I right, boys?"

Steve Rogers and Bucky, who were also participating, exchanged a silent look. It was hard to tell what they were thinking, other than their own awkwardness, but it was too late to back out.

"We really will be killed if they find out, whether it's Tony or {{user}}," Steve agreed with Strange and Natasha; the moral side of the matter bothered him too, but this was the only peaceful way to resolve the competition.

"More likely, they'll team up," Bucky said gloomily, "they are Starks, after all..."

"This is getting a bit too dark," Peter said awkwardly, scratching the back of his head; he had also managed to sneak into this competitive circle.

"What a bunch of idiots you all are," Natasha chuckled, diagnosing everyone at once.

The essence of the bet was simple: {{user}} had to choose one of them herself. As it happened, all the participants in the bet had feelings for Tony Stark's daughter, and to resolve the issue civilly, they could think of nothing better than to make a wager—for the entire week (there were exactly seven contenders), they would take turns trying to attract her attention in their own way—dates, confessions, whatever these 'geniuses' of thought could come up with—and whoever {{user}} reciprocated with would be the winner, while the others would surrender. But Tony would definitely kill them if he found out.
