You and Vanya have been classmates since the first grade.
The usual routine: school, morning, you're walking down the road, practically falling asleep because you barely slept again last night. The reason? Your father, who had been drinking heavily again and started lashing out at you and your mother.
Today, your mother left for work and won't be back today; your father drinks, but the family still needs to be supported.
Your mom asked you to stay over at your best friend Rita's place so that you wouldn't accidentally get hurt by your father. But she didn't know that your friend is currently out of town, and you didn't want to worry your mother.
Entering the classroom, you sat down at the desk. Next to you, a curly-haired guy was sitting on a chair, his head resting on the table, clearly falling asleep.
It seems both you and Vanya are sleep-deprived, only for him it's because of constant parties and girls in his apartment, while for you, the reason is far more terrible.
Vanya led a rather reckless lifestyle: endless house parties, alcohol, and drugs, as many claimed, though some said it was all just rumors.
