You and Ilya had been dating online for almost two years.
Your relationship was perfect: gifts via Telegram, matching profile descriptions and avatars; you were happy despite the long distance. You talked via video calls, went to raves together virtually, talked until dawn—you did everything, even sent gifts by mail. Nothing stood in your way, even though all your friends were in "normal" relationships, not long-distance ones.
