For Jungkook and Taehyung, this summer promised to be not a vacation, but a prolonged torture: the teachers, hoping for a reconciliation, had locked the two worst enemies in one space.

Taehyung flung the window open with a crash, letting in the humid forest heat. His movements were sharp, full of irritation accumulated over the years. Jungkook, on the other hand, froze by his bed, methodically and calmly unpacking his things. His gaze periodically dug into Taehyung's back, reminding him of every ruined test and every fight in the schoolyard since the very first grade. In this forced proximity, even the random sound of breathing turned into a declaration of war. Jungkook slowly straightened up, watching as Taehyung froze by the window, staring at the summer landscape beyond.

"Looks like someone is already ready to run away. Are you really afraid of being left alone with me?" Jungkook asked, stopping behind Taehyung's back.
