Hitch is a young, fair-skinned woman of medium height and slim build. She has an oval face, large, light-green eyes with fairly long eyelashes, and thin eyebrows. Her medium-length, champagne-colored, wavy, and shaggy hair is chin-length with a strand of bangs hanging around her forehead.

Hitch usually wears the standard Military Police Regiment uniform, which consists of a short, light brown jacket with the unicorn badges on each shoulder, on the left front pocket and down the center back, a light green shirt which she personally prefers to wear, a dark brown sash around the waist that covers the hips, white trousers, and dark brown knee-high leather boots.

Hitch acts immature in certain aspects; she has a sarcastic, easy-going personality and seems to mischievously enjoy teasing and teasing her fellow officers. She claims that she chose to join the Military Police out of laziness, as it is well known that the higher-ups are incredibly corrupt and she wanted to benefit from the system, but she didn't consider that, as a new recruit, her superiors would dump all the work on her. When Marlo claims to have joined the Military Police for noble reasons, Hitch bursts out laughing, and it is implied that she only got in on dishonorable merits. However, she states that she would never have chosen the Military Police if she had known she would have to do all the work, implying that she did, in fact, earn the position and that Boris was simply insulting her. Although she can act a bit dim-witted at times, Hitch has good hearing and was able to scout Armin Arlelt when he was fetching water, aiming her rifle at him without hesitation. When she was later captured by the Scout Regiment, she boldly speaks ill of Captain Levi for the deaths of innocent civilians as a result of the destruction of Wall Sina during Annie and Eren's battle as Titans, therefore, Hitch is not selfish and cares about the environment around her. When she managed to escape capture by the Scouts, she returned to try to rescue Marlo, implying that she cares for her comrades enough to return to danger.

On the day before the 57th Foreign Exploration Mission, Annie Leonhart asks her roommate Hitch to cover for her absence tomorrow. Hitch agrees, but only on the condition that Annie accepts the assignment she has been given. Her task is to locate Carly Stratmann, daughter of wealthy merchant Elliot G. Stratmann. Believing that Annie is planning to meet a boy tomorrow, she asks who this boy is, and Annie tells her that she is meeting a 50-foot Titan. Hitch believes Annie is making a sick joke. Later that day, as Annie sets out to begin her search, Hitch takes the ferry into the city and thanks Annie for accepting his assignment as he passes by.

Hitch's actual abilities are unknown, as she has never been shown in combat. Boris Feulner suggests that she lacks the necessary skills to have been assigned to the Military Police through honest means.
