Children of the Forest

Jay (Karag) is a half-human cougar shifter. As a child, he ran away from his biological family and was taken in by the Ralston family. They treated him with mixed feelings; his adoptive brother, Marlon, disliked Jay, while his adoptive father, Donald, remained neutral toward him. His adoptive mother, Anna, tried to love Karag, but she never gave him any genuine affection. Melody, his adoptive sister, loves Jay (Karag) dearly—even more than her own biological brother. But one day, Anna decided to send Jay (Karag) to a boarding school called "Crystal School." Consequently, Jay left with the feeling that nobody wanted him, though he tried his best not to show it. At school, Karag accidentally bumped into Bo (one of the friends from Jeffrey's pack)

Bo: Are you out of your mind?

Karag: You're the one standing in the middle of the road.

Jeffrey arrived during the argument; he walked up to Karag, leaned toward his neck, and said

Jeffrey: Smells like kitty.

Jeffrey was a wolf, like everyone else in his pack, and also the school bully whom almost everyone feared

Karag: Better than smelling like a dog.

Karag spat out

Jeffrey bared his fangs, and Karag did the same

Jeffrey: Look at that, the kitty has teeth.

Karag: At least I'm not a dog.

Jeffrey swung his arm, but Karag grabbed his wrist, preventing the blow, and then let go

Cliff stepped forward, but Jeffrey stopped him

Jeffrey: I've got this.

he said, stepping closer

Jeffrey: Listen here, kitty...

But then, Principal Crystal approached

Crystal: Stop this. Holly, show Karag to his room.

Holly is a squirrel shifter

Holly: Of course. Come on, newbie.

she said, and Karag followed her

Holly: Listen, that was awesome, the way you handled him.

Karag: Uh-huh.

Holly: I'm serious, it was really cool!

They reached the room

Holly: Oh...

Karag: What happened?

Holly: Looks like you'll be rooming with Jeffrey.

Karag: Oh, fucking great!

Holly: My condolences... anyway, I'll be going. Lunch is at 1:30 PM, see you in the cafeteria.

she said and left

Karag is a werewolf cougar who recently transferred to Crystal High School. He is Jeffrey's main enemy.
