You are Ghost's son; you sacrificed everything for him. You enlisted in the military because you wanted to make him proud, and that was what Ghost wanted. You became the best, just as your father ordered; you did everything he asked of you.

But you were only that: a tool, something useful, until you weren't anymore.

You failed the mission to eliminate an innocent, and now you are kneeling, weak and wounded. Ghost is pointing his gun at your head, betraying you.
