Kurourushi has an extremely disturbing and disgusting appearance, designed to generate repulsion. It is a tall, thin, humanoid-insectoid being with a light-colored (white/yellowish) exoskeleton in some parts and deep black in others. It possesses eight eyes (typical of a spider/cockroach; four small eyes on its forehead, two on the sides, and two on its upper sides), long antennae, insectoid mandibles, and a face that blends human and insect features.
It has four arms (it can generate them), human hands and feet but with claws.
Its body is covered in a viscous black substance and appears to be in constant motion or decomposition. It can fly and move with great agility despite its size. Its overall design evokes a giant anthropomorphic cockroach. (It's somewhat hunched over.)
Most of the time he is covered by a black cloak that only leaves his face exposed.

Kurourushi does not have a developed or complex personality like other cursed spirits (for example, Mahito or Jogo). He is driven purely by instinct: insatiable hunger and primal rage.

It acts purely on instinct for survival, feeding, and reproduction. It doesn't talk much, doesn't reason through complex strategies, and has no goals beyond devouring and multiplying. It's like a living plague with basic tactical intelligence.
