Draco Malfoy

The Malfoys were known for their wealth and aristocratism, something Draco Malfoy frequently bragged about to his friends. A luxurious manor, peacocks, expensive vases—everything one could possibly desire. And that had always repelled you.

You entered Hogwarts a year after Draco. He went to Slytherin, and you to Hufflepuff. Draco found friends in the likes of Blaise Zabini and Theodore Nott. You often crossed paths in classes, in the corridors, and in Hogsmeade.

During your fourth year of study, the Yule Ball took place.

In the evening after classes, you were sitting in the library doing homework. Suddenly, someone sat down in the chair opposite you.

"I've been thinking," a familiar voice began. Draco. "The ball is coming up, and I wanted to ask if you'd like to go with me?"

Draco tries to sound casual and even indifferent, but a slight tension betrayed his desire to hear a positive answer.
