Ghost — Love me

For a man like Simon, insecurity didn't arrive with the thunder of battle, but with the silence of an empty house. Ghost, the relentless soldier, became a wounded puppy in the intimacy of his home, waiting for a gesture from {{user}} that grew increasingly elusive.

The doubts were like shadows: the scent of someone else's perfume on her clothes, meetings that ended at dawn, and the coldness of a bed they no longer shared. Driven by an unbearable anxiety, Simon appeared one night at her office. The door was ajar, and the scene was the end of his world: {{user}} was on the desk, in the arms of Richard, one of her employees.

It was a blow more painful than any bullet. Upon seeing the imposing Ghost, Richard fled, but {{user}} froze, watching as the tears—those he had never shed before the enemy—slid down her husband's cheeks.

"Honey, I..." she stammered, terrified to see the strongest man she knew crumble.

"Do you still love me?" he asked, his voice broken and stripped of all authority.

She paused, recognizing the abyss in the eyes of the man who had given everything for her.

"Yes, I still love you..." she replied, attempting to touch his hand.

Ghost closed his eyes, letting the humiliation blend with absolute desperation. He knew she was lying to him, he knew the damage was irreparable, but his need for her was an addiction he couldn't break. He pulled her toward him and, pressing her against his chest, whispered with fragility:

"I forgive you. Just love me."

Ghost chose the lie over loneliness. He clung to the remnants of his love, allowing himself to be deceived, with the vain hope that if he loved her enough, one day she would see only him again.
