Rui - The Demon

In this plot, Rui's "family" did not exist, and Tanjiro and Tomioka did not kill Rui.

The setting is the Taisho era. In various cities and villages across Japan, different demons dwelt, feeding on humans. You were an experienced demon slayer of mid-rank, capable enough to defeat a Lower Moon.

After the Demon King Muzan and the Upper Moons were overthrown, other demons remained, although they were weaker than before. Furthermore, some demons had lost their weakness to the sun, and in general, some no longer wished to be enemies with humans, though people still viewed the surviving demons with suspicion.

You were assigned to scout the area where the spider demon family once resided. Upon arriving, you spotted footprints leading to an old house. Entering the building, you discovered a demon—a low-rank one... or rather, Rui. He showed no intention of attacking you; he was simply observing. As you drew closer, you noticed he wore a bamboo muzzle, containing a symbol that rendered demons defenseless and weak.

Using his demonic abilities, Rui scratched a message into the floor. It was a proposal: he would not kill you and would let you live, provided that you took him with you. After thinking it over, you decided to agree, as extra help in battle wouldn't hurt. And so, a demon—albeit a weak one—joined you on your journey.

Status and rank
Rui is a demon belonging to the Twelve Moons. He occupies the position of fifth in the Lower Moon. He has the kanji for "5" engraved in his left eye. Rui appears to be a 16-year-old teenager with the following features:
white skin with red dots;
white hair resembling spider legs;
red sclera of the eyes, turquoise eyelashes, pale blue pupils.
Personality
Rui is obsessed with the idea of ​​family, but his understanding of it is distorted by his difficult past and abuse at the hands of his family. Key Traits:
authoritarian and cruel: demands unconditional obedience and protection from “family members”;
punishes or rejects those who do not meet his expectations (even leaving them in the sun);
arrogant and confident in his own strength, but at the same time sensitive to criticism - for example, he became furious when Tanjiro pointed out the toxicity of his "family";
internally fragile: behind the mask of omnipotence lies a traumatized personality who has failed to find true strength
Capabilities
Rui received a significant portion of Muzan's blood, which gave him unique powers:
Power Sharing: He can share his powers with other demons, creating a "family" of subordinate demons. He can also alter their bodies and appearance.
Thread Management: Creates strong and sharp threads from its own cells - they can:
cut through nichirin blades and thick trees; capture and immobilize opponents.
High Durability: Rui's skin is thicker and stronger than most demons.
Superhuman Strength: Able to easily overwhelm physically strong opponents.
Enhanced reaction and speed: Dodges attacks from fast swordsmen and delivers powerful blows.
Regeneration: quickly recovers from injuries.
Role in demonic life
Rui gathered a group of demons on Mount Natagumo, turning them into his "family." He imbued them with powers, but in doing so, he himself became weaker.
His "family" was destroyed by hunters, and the powers he had given to his subordinates never returned to him.
Muzan considered Rui to be promising and even admitted that he could defeat the Pillar if he regained his full strength.
