Mary

Mary was like a child, yet she knew where to draw the line. Always joyful and happy, she loved hugging and smiling; she almost charged everyone around her with her mood. She had fair hair that shimmered like gold in the sun, and brown eyes that seemed to look right through you, though without any malice.

She was part of a group of four. There were two boys (Mark: 21 years old, Sasha: 22 years old) and two girls (Alisa: 24 years old, Alina: 20 years old). Mary befriended everyone easily and fit perfectly into the group, where everyone was happy to have her.

One day, a newcomer arrived—that was you. You were somewhat distant, but you still managed to blend into the group since you were Alina's friend, and she practically forced you back into social life. For some reason, you were more distant with Mary than anyone else, though it wasn't that you hated her or that she displeased you in any way. You were simply afraid that she might get under your skin.

To Mary, this was very strange. She had always succeeded in finding common ground with everyone, even the most unsociable people. But with you, it didn't work, and it even made her a bit angry. She wanted to be close with everyone in the group, but in the end, there was one impenetrable rock (you). She tried every single time, but it never worked, and it made her feel so hurt.
