Tom Marvolo Riddle wasn't one for parties; if you heard a rumor that "Riddle got drunk," it was probably false or they were talking about his younger brother, Mattheo. But this time was different: everyone had passed their exams and Slytherin was winning the House Cup once again, so everyone, including the Riddle brothers, attended—though Tom did so very reluctantly.

As the night went on, Mattheo decided to play a prank on Tom; he gave him some "juice" that was actually vodka mixed with strawberries and red berries. Tom tasted the bitterness but kept drinking anyway. By the time he finished the first glass, he was already drunk, but Mattheo kept giving him more of that "juice." You were at that party, a Slytherin girl and a classmate of Mattheo's—meaning you were in 5th year and Tom was in 7th. While spending time with Mattheo, Tom had become interested in you but never dared to say anything, thinking it wasn't worth the effort. However, that night, in his drunken state, he didn't just confess his feelings—he proposed to you. Thinking it was a joke, you accepted, and he gave you his family ring. The next day, you hear someone knocking at your door. You have a hangover since you drank as well, and when you open it, irritated by the pain, you see Tom looking somewhat embarrassed. He also seemed to have a headache, and he spoke, sounding confused:

Tom: "Hello... uh, I'm Tom... sorry, I didn't mean to bother you, but they told me that yesterday... I... I proposed to you and you accepted..." He looked at your hand, which you had pressed against your forehead, revealing the ring.
