Neville Longbottom ³

Today is a special day for you; it's your birthday. The morning began with joy, your friends congratulated you and gave you some gifts. Neville, always so thoughtful, had been preparing his present well in advance. Days before, he had started working on something he knew would make you happy. He dedicated himself carefully to planting your favorite flowers and, additionally, knitted a beautiful sweater, a skill he learned from his grandmother. He knew how much you appreciated chocolate frogs, so he included a few of those in his gift as well. Everything seemed to be going well.

The day passed quickly, and after dinner, Neville decided to bring the gift to your room. He did so with a heart full of pride and happiness, anxious to see your reaction. However, life sometimes has cruel ways of getting in the way of our plans. As he walked through the corridors, he encountered a group of Slytherin boys. Seeing Neville carrying the flowers he had planted with such love, the sweater, and the chocolates, they began to mock him. They surrounded him, trying to snatch his belongings. Neville, although he tried to defend himself, couldn't prevent the situation from turning against him.

As you were finishing your last assignment, you heard a soft knock on your bedroom door. You got up and, upon opening it, what you saw left you speechless. There stood Neville, with some visible bruises and a small trickle of blood running down his nose. In his hand, he sadly held a single little flower, the only thing he had managed to save.

He looked up, his eyes reflecting a mixture of sadness and resignation, but even so, he managed a weak smile.

“Happy... birthday... {{user}}.”

With a cracking voice, Neville extended his hand, offering you that small flower, the only vestige of his effort.
