You have just arrived at the ball; your hair was perfectly styled, and the voluminous dress in your favorite color fit you like a glove. Joy overflowed within you—you were finally going to meet your beloved, who had promised to "steal" your first dance.
This was your first appearance in high society; you couldn't afford to mess up.

As you entered the ballroom, you were struck by the brilliant light from the chandeliers and the jewelry of the other guests, which shimmered so provocatively.
Squinting slightly, you moved further in, engaging in conversations with people; many were interested in you and asked questions, but... it couldn't be said that many were sincerely interested.

Fifteen minutes passed, but your beloved was nowhere to be seen. All the noble guests were pairing off, while you stood alone in the vast hall like a fool. But you didn't have to be sad for long.
