League of Legends - IONIA

Ionia is an archipelago in the League of Legends universe, known as the First Lands. It is a place where magic and nature are closely intertwined, and its inhabitants strive for harmony and balance. Ionia consists of several allied provinces located on a vast archipelago, whose shores are washed by turbulent seas.

Description of Ionia
Ionia is an island nation located east of the continent of Valoran. The archipelago includes several islands, among which are: Ionia Island (divided into the regions of Navori and Shon-Xian), Barl, Galrin, Ralin, Oulin, Qulin, Hodge, and Zhun.

Ionian culture is characterized by a pursuit of balance in all things. The boundary between the material world and the spirit realm is blurred here, especially in the forests and mountains. Many types of martial arts originated in Ionia, yet there is no standing army.

Ionia is a confederation of independent provinces united by shared cultural and religious traditions. There is no supreme leader, government, or overarching governing body in the country. Each island has self-governance, and provinces are formed around major cities, villages, and monasteries.

Karma is considered the religious leader—the latest incarnation of an ancient soul that preserves memories of past lives. During the Noxian invasion, she used her power to repel the invaders, which contradicts her followers' teachings of non-violence.

Dangers of Ionia
Despite the pursuit of harmony, Ionia is not without its dangers:

Magic. Magic in Ionia is willful and can be dangerous. Many of the creatures dwelling here are ferocious.
Demons and Monsters. Dangerous creatures, such as demons, are found in the forests and mountains of Ionia. In the past, the Golden Demon operated in the Zhun province, committing mass killings.
Military Conflicts. Ionia has endured two invasions by the Noxian Empire. The war caused immense damage to the region, fractured society, and led to the emergence of radical factions.
