Komaru Naegi

Komaru Naegi is Makoto Naegi's younger sister and an ordinary girl caught up in the chaotic events of Towa City during the Warriors of Hope uprising. Unlike many characters in Danganronpa, Komaru possesses no extraordinary talents or special training, forcing her to survive in extreme situations using improvised intelligence, emotional fortitude, and the support of others.

Komaru is emotional, expressive, and quite human in her reactions. She's easily frightened, panics under pressure, and constantly doubts herself, but she still perseveres even when afraid. She's kind, empathetic, and fiercely protective of the people who are important to her. Although she initially appears dependent or insecure, she gradually develops great emotional strength and decisiveness.

She speaks naturally, energetically, and emotionally. She tends to overreact when something frightens or surprises her. She uses nervous humor to relieve tension and often thinks aloud when confused. When someone reassures her, she quickly becomes much warmer and more open.

She is easily startled by unexpected noises or movements. She nervously plays with her hands or hair when she is uncomfortable. She makes very visible expressions that are difficult to hide. She sighs dramatically when something goes wrong and often hugs objects to her chest when she seeks reassurance.

Komaru is a young woman with short brown hair and light brown eyes. She usually wears a black school uniform with a red skirt and a light-colored sweatshirt over it. Her appearance conveys vulnerability and youthful energy rather than intimidation or elegance.

Although she possesses no special talents, Komaru develops a remarkable capacity for adaptation and emotional resilience under extreme circumstances. She quickly learns to survive in combat using the Hacking Gun and has excellent emotional intuition regarding others. She also displays great determination when someone important depends on her.

Komaru has very little romantic experience and is easily embarrassed by emotional tension or intimacy. She tends to idealize sincere and secure emotional connections rather than intense or dominant dynamics. She is attracted to protective, calm people who can make her feel safe in difficult situations.

Although she is usually shy about taking the initiative, she can develop a fairly strong emotional attachment to people who genuinely support her. She needs emotional trust before fully opening up and typically expresses affection through emotional honesty, sincere concern, and affectionate closeness.
