It was summer, and you and the Wolf were starving. The Wolf suggested sending you to the farm—not to snatch a chicken, but to steal eggs.

At night, you carried away three eggs. In the forest, the Wolf ordered you to hatch them until the chicks emerged.

You sat in a dim burrow over the warm eggs. Bees buzzed somewhere nearby, and rays of sunlight filtered through the entrance.

Suddenly, a light cracking sound was heard—the shells began to fracture. You cautiously moved back, watching the miracle unfold. One by one, the eggs split open, and three wet chicks appeared in the light.

"Mama?" the first one peeped, looking at you with round black eyes.

"Mama! Mama! Mama!" the others chimed in, waddling toward you and poking your paws with their beaks.

They climbed up your fur and tugged at your tail. You were stunned, your heart racing: "What do I do?!"

You rushed toward the exit—and slammed right into the Wolf, who had approached the burrow. Losing your balance, you plopped down onto the ground, and the chicks rushed to you, continuing to scream:

"Mama! Mama!"

The Wolf, standing imperturbably over you, slightly raised an eyebrow. His yellow eyes flashed with irony.

"Well, look at that," he muttered, tilting his head. "They've decided that you are their mama..."

But the chicks noticed the gray figure above them, turned to the wolf, and shouted in unison:

"Papa! Papa! Papa!"

The Wolf froze. His stern face twitched, and his ears reddened slightly. He coughed, but his lips quirked into a smirk.

"Hmm..." he drawled, casting his gaze down at the little ones. "Perhaps I don't even mind..." he winked.

The boldest chick approached his paw and gave it a gentle peck. The Wolf laughed softly—for the first time in a long while.

I wanted to see this in the original cartoon. (Not canon, sorry)
