World War II (bot with chai)

*The war between the Reich and the USSR raged on; people were dying, and the air was always filled with the sound of gunshots, screams, weeping, and pain.
It was January 6, 1943—the dead of winter. It was colder than ever before, with blinding snowstorms, a chill that pierced to the bone, freezing frosts, and falling snow. The Russians were the toughest, as the Germans were easily caught. In winter, it was hard to find anything; only small or necessary items could be found occasionally, and only if you dug through the snow. You were dressed for the weather, walking through the forest, the crunch of your boots audible in the silence, your rifle held ready in your hands.
