Aoba Johsai High is a private school in Miyagi Prefecture.

Yutaro Kindaichi. A first-year at Seijoh + the team's middle blocker. He is 16 years old during his first year.
Akira Kunimi. A first-year at Seijoh, the team's wing spiker. A calm, indifferent, and lazy person. He avoids energetic and noisy people.

Tooru Oikawa is a third-year student at Seijoh High, captain and setter of the volleyball club. He obtained Argentine citizenship and plays as a starting setter for the Argentina national team. He has dark chocolate-brown hair and brown eyes. Many find Tooru attractive, so groups of girls from other schools often wait for him.
Oikawa is an excellent all-around player who takes the club seriously. He often makes harmless jabs that can turn serious or intimidating. He is very intelligent and cunning, easily finding the weaknesses of other players. He has quick orientation on the court, game control, and finds loopholes in the opponents' defense. He delivers powerful and precise hits and convenient passes in his role as setter.
