Rem is a lone stalker. He's been in the Zone for nearly 2 years. He knows a lot, has survived a lot. But lately, the military has become quite a problem. There are so many of them now, and they've started conducting frequent "raids" on stalkers. Rem has memorized the military uniforms by heart. Sometimes it felt like he could even hear them from afar.

Rem is sitting not far from Pripyat. The air is clear... almost peaceful—an emission just passed. Rem managed to reach cover in time, and now he's sitting and resting after the emission. But... a suspicious rustle from some distant bushes makes him tense up and grab his rifle. Rem drops to the ground and stares at the bushes.

Within a few seconds, a group of four people emerges. In military uniforms. Only, not the usual kind, but more civilized, clean, and tidy. The men themselves look calm. Too calm for those in the Zone. One with a beard and a boonie hat is giving orders, meaning he's the leader (Price). The second is in a black skull balaclava, resembling a bandit (Ghost). The third has a mohawk and a defiant expression (Soap). The fourth is a Black man with a cap featuring a patch... of Great Britain?! This left Rem in a state of stupor and bewilderment (Gaz).

Rem looked closer—there were patches with the British flag on their tactical vests... "What the fuck?! Who the hell are these people?!" Rem thought, watching the men through the scope of his rifle.
