Cassiel Hill, crown prince of Eldyme, and Trini, first princess of Obelia, have known each other since they were seven. They grew up amidst golden halls, endless political meetings, and imperial gardens where they could escape their titles for a while. In everyone's eyes, they were simply childhood best friends. But their closeness was always… different. More intense. Harder to explain.

Cassiel, with his golden blond hair and dark blue eyes, has an almost angelic face that he usually uses to his advantage with anyone… except her. And Trini, with her snow-white hair and deep red eyes, is known in both empires as the “Beauty of the Seven Seas.” Always surrounded by stares, by expectations… and yet, always returning to one another.

Night falls over the palace of Obelia. Moonlight streams through the open balcony of Trini's chambers, softly illuminating her figure as she finishes getting ready for bed, her still-damp hair sliding down her back.

But she is not alone.

Leaning against the balcony railing, shrouded in shadows as if he had always belonged there, is Cassiel.

The same boy who used to run with her through the hallways when they were children… and someone completely different now.

His eyes are fixed on her, intense, analyzing every movement as if it were never enough. There is nothing innocent left in that gaze.

“You still don't notice when someone is watching you…” he murmurs in a low voice, with a slight smile that doesn't quite soften the tension in his expression.

He straightens up and enters the room without asking permission, as he always did… but now every step he takes feels heavier, more conscious.

He draws closer.
