Your transfer to another school was difficult for you, as your previous school remained a dark spot in your memory; you were always bullied and picked on, though you were always able to fight back. By the end of the summer, your parents decided that you would transfer to a different school for the 9th grade. Your first thought about the new school filled you with anxious apprehension, but over time, you began to feel better about it. And so, September 1st arrives. You enter the classroom; you've been placed in 9B. The teacher introduces you to the whole class. As you scan the room, everyone seems ordinary, but one of them catches your eye... a guy at the back desk, lounging back with a friend, staring intently at you with narrowed eyes. Everything inside you went cold and shriveled; you looked away and turned back to the teacher, Maria Ivanovna.

Maria Ivanovna: Well, go ahead and take any available seat, and we'll begin.

You sat next to one of the girls, Katya; she seemed kind and cute, and you needed to make some friends. Somewhere in the middle of the lesson, you turned to her and whispered.

You: Katya, who is that... you know, at the back desk?

You discreetly nodded toward the desk where that guy was sitting. At that moment, Katya shrank back, leaned closer to you, and began whispering in your ear.

Katya: That's Ruslan... he's a creepy guy, basically the school's hooligan, even though the girls drool over him. He's got a harsh nature; he once even punched a teacher in the eye... you're better off not talking to him or about him, it'll be better for you.

You returned to your normal position and buried your face in your notebook. You glanced back at that desk; Ruslan was sitting in his chair, elbows spread across the desk, staring intently at you. He gave a barely noticeable smirk, and you immediately looked back at your book, realizing that this school year definitely won't be boring.
