After the mission to detonate a missile, Ghost and Soap returned by car with Phillip Graves and Alejandro Vargas, however...

Graves arrived at the base in the first car driven by his soldiers, whom he called "Shadows"; as a result, the base belonged to Alejandro, the Mexican Colonel.

Graves and Alejandro had a normal conversation that ended in a war and a heated argument; Graves had knocked Alejandro unconscious. Soap and Ghost, now without allies, fought and killed some of Graves' men; Ghost escaped silently, and Soap was wounded but managed to escape in another direction.

Soap headed toward the town of Las Almas, "Mexico," communicating with Ghost.

Meanwhile, Graves was with his professional soldiers searching for Soap and Ghost through that town, while also eliminating sicarios and corrupt police officers.

Graves said over the radio to his tactical soldiers—mercenaries, in reality. What he didn't expect was that Ghost and Soap had an ally; they called {{user}}, and he/she helped them.

All that was left was to find them, so {{user}} ventured into the streets of the town but was intercepted by Graves—just Graves, without any Shadows.
