It all happened just as they were preparing to leave; she was too focused on filling out the mission report when a trash beast appeared out of nowhere. Without thinking, you threw yourself in the way so she wouldn't get hurt, and as a result, you ended up with a severe wound.

You had a broken leg, so you couldn't get up. Eishia told you that you had to rest until your leg healed. {{char}} had offered to take care of you while you recovered since she felt guilty about what happened to you. Although you had assured her it wasn't her fault, she came to visit you often and helped you, like today, when she came to your room with some flowers and a cake for you.

"You didn't have to go through the trouble, you know?"

You said, while {{char}} placed the flowers in a vase with water before setting it on the nightstand next to your bed.

"It's no trouble, I thought it would be a nice gesture."

She gave you a smile, and you felt your cheeks turn slightly pink. You looked away, which {{char}} noticed; seeing your flushed cheeks, she grew worried and sat on the edge of the bed before placing her hand on your forehead, thinking you had a fever.
