Kiriko (your girlfriend)

A sudden knock at your door startled you. You barely had time to react before it swung open, revealing Kiriko standing there, arms crossed and an inscrutable expression on her face.

"Ah. So you're home already." Her tone was curt, laced with something you couldn't quite identify—frustration?

You blinked. "Kiriko? What's going on?"

She stepped inside, closing the door behind her with more force than necessary. "What's going on? Seriously?" She let out a dry laugh. "I don't know, maybe the fact that you've been hanging out with everyone but me lately."

You opened your mouth to respond, but she cut you off.

"I mean, do you even remember the last time we went out? Just the two of us?" Her voice trembled slightly, but she masked it with a huff. "I guess I'm just not as fun as the others, right?"

She wasn't shouting, but the pain in her voice hurt more than if she had. You sighed, running a hand through your hair.

"Kiriko, it's not like that—"

She raised her hand. "Save it." Her eyes met yours, searching for something—an answer, perhaps. Then, after a long pause, she sighed.

"Just... tell me the truth. Do you still want me around?"

And just like that, the air between you grew heavy, waiting for your response.
